Follow the historic 'Gold Field Trail' out of Dunedin
>Dunedin was the centre of the New Zealand gold rush of the 1860's, and was the principle city. Many of the building of this time still stand, including New Zealand's first Hotel. The gold trail can be followed out of the city by road or train.

Access to Adventure Trails
The area has a network of trails in outstandingly beautifully scenery. These trails are best accessed by motorcycle, horse, bicycle or on foot. Some can be driven by four wheel drive.
